About SpeechLand
Helping little voices grow
SpeechLand provides child-centred speech-language therapy based in Bothasig, Cape Town, supporting children and families with warm, individualised, evidence-informed care.
Kristin is a Speech-Language Therapist and UCT graduate with a passion for helping children find their voice.
She specialises in paediatric communication, working with children across a range of profiles including developmental language delays, autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, stuttering, and more.
What drives her work is the belief that every child communicates differently, and that therapy should meet them exactly where they are.
She is a strong believer in working closely with families, because the progress that happens between sessions matters just as much as the work done together in the room.

Our story
SpeechLand was created to offer families a calm, supportive space where children can build communication skills at their own pace. Therapy begins with an initial assessment and is shaped around each child’s strengths, needs and everyday environments.
At SpeechLand, sessions are designed to be play-based, engaging, and tailored to each child’s unique strengths and goals. Kristin brings creativity and clinical rigour in equal measure, because the best therapy doesn’t feel like therapy at all.

How we support families
Support is tailored to the child and family, with practical guidance that can be carried into home, school and everyday routines.

01
Assessment first
Each therapy journey starts with understanding the child’s communication profile, concerns and goals before planning next steps.
02
Therapy that fits
Sessions may support speech sound development, language, fluency, literacy foundations, social communication, AAC, or early communication, depending on the child’s needs.

03
Working together
SpeechLand values partnership with families, schools and referral partners so that support remains consistent, respectful and meaningful across settings.
